Leaving Noosa to look for WORK

So, Jessie and I have decided to leave Noosa and drive approx. 1,400 km north to
Mareeba. The little town of Mareeba, located above the Tropic of Capricorn about 1.5 hours west of Cairns, has an economy that is dependent on fruit farming. Jessie and I hope to help their economy by becoming one of many backpacker/migrant fruit harvesters. After a lot of research, it looks like we'll be able to make $10-20/hr picking and sorting mangos or bananas, the two fruits that are currently in season.
Considering we have about three full days worth of driving ahead of us, you can guess there probably will not be any postings between today and Friday.
However, I will leave you with a couple pictures of the worlds largest mango (reason why we want to pick them, is because they're sooo good to eat),
Fruit Bats in Noosa mangroves,
some kids jumping off of a bridge into the warm waters of Noosa River
(I may or may not have done it...),
and Tea Tree** Bay in Noosa (with tiny right hand peelers at high tide).

** Tea Tree is where I met Tom Wegener yesterday - the famed Aliea shaper in The Present surf film.
