Noosa is a little slice of paradise. The weather has been perfect, with low humidity, and cool nights. The surf has been good, with peeling right handers on all three of the point breaks in the area. The gelato @ Massimo's is amazing, and has been a welcomed treat at the end of a long day in the warm sun.
However, the main reason we have been sticking around Noosa is for the potential house that we have applied to rent, and the fact that we have submitted resumes for multiple jobs in the area.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving, but instead of killing a large male bush turkey (turns out they are protected), we decided to have penne pasta with garlic and herb encrusted rissoles (meatballs). While the meal may not have been as satisfying as a plate full of turkey, stuffing, black olives, and mashed potatoes, it was still a good feast. Then, I surpised Jessie by buying... not gelato, but chocolate covered honeycomb. Turned out to be a delicious desert, very light, and full of flavor.
Today, we strapped on our snokeling gear and jumped off of the rocks at Boiling Pot, the second point at Noosa Head. While we didn't see many fish, it was fun to dive down and swim near the rocks - some of which are coated in fire coral. Needless to say, when we saw a shell we really wanted, we decided to leave it be, because it was surrounded by unfamiliar sea life, not to mention the creature living inside the shell.
In the end, we would have had better diving for paddler boarders (considering we had our 6 foot hand spears with us during our dive.)!
