Made it to Noosa Heads

So, we have been working our way up the coast, and we have managed to reach Noosa Heads, a posh little town of about 50,000 in Queensland. For example, I was looking to buy a t-shirt for a Christmas present, and the surf shop on Hastings Street (the "trendyest" of streets in all of Queensland) wanted $45.00! When you're living out of your car and watching every penny that you spend, cotton just ain't worth it.

Regardless, Noosa is a beautiful town with a multiple right-hand point breaks that peel over sand bottoms. And, to reach the breaks you have to hike along an ocean-side trail that meanders through a shady eucalypt forest, which is home to KOALAS! -which we saw two of yesterday. (Jessie took the pictures because my camera was full).

Now, we have begun to consider getting a job, and we are looking to work on a tropical island in the Whitsundays, an island chain located in crystal clear waters between mainland Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef. (Picture found online, we haven't visited Whitsundays... yet.)

Other places we have seen:
1. Lamington National Park - home to one of the largest glow worm colonies which live near an underground waterfall.

2. Coolangatta, Snapper Rocks, Kirra - all these beaches had right hand point breaks, and we got some really good rides, I mean the BEST RIDES of my life! It was chest high and the waves broke for @ least 200yds (whatever that is in meters, i don't know).

3. Brisbane - thought it was going to be a waste of a day, considering it was about 105 F; managed to cool off in a watering hole in South Bank Park; watched the sunset over the city, and had a great time in the sand and palm tree lined, yet cholorinated pool.

4. Glass House Mountains - just outside of Brisbane; steepest climb of my life done on dusty crumbling rock; seriously, one slip and you would not have been happy; cliff went from sea level almost straight up to 1,000ft. We climbed the mountain in the foreground - It's called Mt. Tibrogargan. The big on the left is called Mt Beerburrum. Also, I haven't uploaded images from our climb, so this picture is from the internet. But still... enjoy
